The Workroom

The Workroom was a comprehensive portal to the independent dance sector in Scotland, based out of a purpose-built studio in Glasgow’s Tramway. The Workroom provided independent artists working in dance in Scotland with flexible, fluid, reactive support, as well as helping to strengthen existing networks within the creative community.
The Workroom believes that artists are important catalysts for social change, able to react and innovate far faster than any organisation could.
On 6 December 2014, Charlotte was invited to deliver a provocation to The Workroom members regarding choreographic practice and sustaining and developing a career and artist-led infrastructure for dance in Scotland.
