The BENCH
2015-18
The BENCH is a programme that has been developed in direct response to serious concerns about the lack of equality currently faced by female choreographers within the contemporary dance sector. The BENCH offers female choreographers working within the UK Arts sector an opportunity to participate in a 9 month programme of training, discussion, debate and mentoring, all within a bespoke and creative framework.
Mentors who led the 2015/16 programme were: TAMSIN FITZGERALD, KATE FLATT, ROSIE KAY, LIV LORENT, SHARON WATSON and CHARLOTTE VINCENT. The inaugural Bench Programme culminated with The BENCH Event.
