Richard Lowdon

Richard Lowdon has a degree in Theatre Studies from Exeter University, and is a founding member of experimental theatre company Forced Entertainment. Based in Sheffield since then, Forced Entertainment are considered to be at the cutting edge of their field, producing work, live, published, on CD Rom and on film. Richard designs and performs in all their work, except in 1998, when he co-directed and designed Dirty Work with Tim Etchells, and took part in other collaborations including working with film director Jo Cammack on Down in One and with Charlotte Vincent and Robert Hardy on Glasshouse. For VDT he has designed Falling From the High Rise of Love (1999), Caravan of Lies (2000), On The House (2000), Drop Dead Gorgeous (2001), Let The Mountains Lead You to Love (2003) and Punch Drunk (2004). In 2014 Forced Entertainment celebrated 30 years of internationally acclaimed collaboration. Richard is based in Sheffield.
