Anton Lukoszevieze

Cellist Anton Lukoszevieze is renowned for his performances of avant-garde, experimental and improvised music and has performed at international festivals throughout Europe and the USA. He has made frequent programmes and broadcasts for BBC Radio 3, Danish Radio, SR2, Sweden, Deutschland Rundfunk, WDR, Germany and ORT, Austria. Anton has also performed concerti with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at the 2001 Aldeburgh festival and the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra. He is unique in the UK through his use of the curved bow (BACH-Bogen), which he is using to develop new repertoire for the cello. Anton is the subject of four films by the renowned artist-filmmaker Jayne Parker, commissioned by Arts Council England in 2000. A further four film projects are currently in production. Anton is also active as a film and sound artist, his work has been shown throughout the UK and Europe. He is a member of the radical noise group Zeitkratzer in Berlin and is the founder and director of the ensemble Apartment House. Anton performed in Broken Chords with Vincent Dance Theatre in 2008. He is based in Norwich.
